Russian high-tech entrepreneur, bought five of CASOL’s paintings contemporary for the sum of $ 1,200,000. Oil on canvas Transcendance Philosophique (30” x 36” - 2004), Solitude (24” x 30” - 2003), and three other (2002 collection) works were sold at a New York private exhibition in Manhattan. These paintings were part of the first collection created by Casol.
Maryse Casol is a French contemporary artist and a central figure in the movement known as Neo-Fauvism. Renowned for her vibrant colours, exotic landscapes and blazing still lives, she continues the legacy of artists such as Matisse, Derain or Cezanne in a XXI century style.
Driven by her love for philosophy and a constant desire for spiritual and mystic transcendence, Casol studied the thoughts of famous philosophers such as Aristotle, Epictetus, Maimonides, and Spinoza.
The private exhibition was organized by Casol’s son and art dealer, Mickael Casol, who in only three years, broke into the international art world. Threw his wide business network, Mickael managed to invite collectors from Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong, Dubai and Moscow.
